FuelX Innovation produces Alan - hydrogen-based solid fuel. Alan is an aluminum hydride (AlH3) solid-state hydrogen storage material. Alan has three times the energy per unit weight (Wh/kg) of lithium-ion batteries, making it critical for aviation and personal energy applications. Alan is safe, can be stored at atmospheric pressure for decades, can be transported by land and air, and provides fuel cells with low-pressure hydrogen. FuelX also produces energy systems for a variety of applications, including power systems for soldiers, electric scooters, aviation and personal watercraft. The company has a contract with the U.S. Army to produce 250-Wh energy cartridges for soldiers.
