Hydrogenious Technologies creates plants for the safe and efficient storage of hydrogen in liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC). Its storage units are designed to safely bind hydrogen to a liquid organic carrier, benzyltoluene. The hydrogenation process is flexible and meets the needs of, for example, hydrogen production connected to renewable energy sources. The units are designed to produce several tons of hydrogen per day. The exothermic hydrogen storage reaction releases high-temperature heat suitable for heating. And hydrogen production units from LOHC oils are ideal for medium and large-volume industrial hydrogen consumption, supplying hydrogen terminals and nodes, as well as for injection into pipelines.
