HACE (Hydro Air Concept Energy) develops offshore floating wave energy converters (WEC) able to generate electricity from waves of only 5 cm high with a carbon footprint below 1 g CO2/kWh. This leads to a price of electricity below 30 USD/MWh. As a fabless concept, a HACE WEC can be fully manufactured in any shipyard to maximise the benefits for local communities. Operation and maintenance can be performed by locals.
